Walking on Water.

Every individual lives with an expectation of achieving certain goals in life that may seem like walking on water and impossible. In pursuit of these goals and aspirations, we face challenges which must be overcome in order for us to succeed. Jesus in passing through this world experienced all kinds of adversity and deprivation that we go through and so He is able to help us in our time of need. Remembering that “By faith we understand that the world was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was made out of things which do not appear.” And bringing this home to our personal life we can do the impossible, framing how things go with us from day to day by speaking forth God’s word with Faith and Hope.

Jesus is the only hope of the world, he is the only that can walk on water, he defies the logical and does the impossible, so why put your hope on something else when John 3: 16 says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” And Hebrew 13: 8 says “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Jesus is the only one that can walk with us on water so let’s fill our heart with his hope for he is the way, and the truth, and the life; and no one comes to the Father, but by Jesus, for God and Jesus are one “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; and I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.” (John 10:27-30).

God made the whole world by speaking forth words; and as God’s children, we have the same creative power inherent in us because we’re made in his image and in his likeness … “Because, if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For man believes with his heart and so is justified, and he confesses with his lips and so is saved.” (Rom 10: 9-10)

Also in Matthew 11: 28-29 Jesus says “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” And according to the People's New Testament Commentary: This passage “…shows the willingness of the Lord. The kings and earth and the great are usually difficult of access, while Jesus is not only willing, but invites us, to come to him. Note how gracious the invitation is! (1) It is the Lord who speaks. (2) He invites to come to him. (3) The invitation is to those who labor and are heavy laden. (4) He promises, to all these weary ones who come, rest. The offer is not that of a man, but of the Divine Savior. Millions in all ages since can bear witness that the promise is sure.” Like the way Jesus reached out his hand and caught Peter when he began to sink in the sea but if we must walk on water we must walk before God and keep his commandments Like (2 Chronicles 7: 17–18) says “And as for you, if you walk before me, as David your father walked, doing according to all that I have commanded you and keeping my statutes and my ordinances, then I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, 'There shall not fail you a man to rule Israel.'

Let’s demonstrate that we have hope in Jesus, By Speaking forth, helping other brethren who are trying to walk on their own sea and carrying each ot
her’s burden for “Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Look to yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do well to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” (Gal 6: 1-3, 9-10) and “Remember then what you received and heard; keep that, and repent. If you will not awake, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come upon you.” (Rev 3: 20)

The world is largely indifferent to challenges individuals face, so that each person must have something to hold on to. Hope is that element which enables an individual to persist even when pressed because there is a belief that tomorrow has better things in stock. Jesus is the only hope to hold onto. “Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.” He is real and time tested. He is the only one under heaven through whom we must be saved. He is the only God that takes us on a walk on water “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” For as long as you keep your eyes on him, with all your hopes and your faith you will be WALKING ON WATER.
